“So, what was it like  working in Venice with the Bezos Wedding?”

A question we’ve heard more times than we can count, usually somewhere between a celebratory toast and swapping out wardrobe pieces backstage. The truth? It was splendidly chaotic.

While Venice was juggling local and national strikes, and its usual maze of charming logistical challenges, Lux Wedding & Event Studio, together with Once Extraordinary Events  and Brilliant Communication pulled off a major three days event.

At the same time, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez were holding their wedding celebration right down the canal.

Can we share the details? Not really. But what we can say is this: Those folks know how to run a world-class event, we must give credit where credit is due.

Chaos? Surprisingly, no.

Despite all the buzz and concern that the city might spiral into gridlock, Venice held its own with grace. High season is always lively, but the energy was vibrant, not frantic. Venice sparkled, whether from the event lighting or the sheer magic in the air that weekend.

A gentle reminder: event guests aren’t casual tourists

Let’s clear something up: guests at private events like these aren’t contributing to overtourism. They’re not crowding Rialto with rolling suitcases or pushing in front of the line for a Gondola. They’re booking luxury hotels, dining at Michelin restaurants, reserving private boats, and working with the top Venetian vendors.

This is what people don’t realize. These events activate an entire economic ecosystem, generating real value without overwhelming the city’s infrastructure.

Private events aren’t the problem, they’re part of the solution

Let’s not treat high-end events like they’re a burden. When thoughtfully planned, they don’t add chaos to the city, they create opportunity. They provide employment, spotlight local excellence, and show the world that Italy can host dream-worthy destination weddings with class and care.

Bottom line?

Working in Venice is always a thrill, whether there’s a billionaire wedding happening nearby or we’re creating our own kind of magic.
